if you walk 4 miles in 1 hour that would be 1 mile every quarter of an hour

 a quarter of an hour is 15 minutes

so it would take 15 minutes to walk 1 mile

It is 4 miles per 1 hour; this means that for 1 mile it would take you 1/4 of a hour.

1 hour is equal to 60 minutes thus 60/4 = 15.

You would take 15 minutes to travel 1 mile.
